We’re excited to have a new platform to discuss our latest news, boast (perhaps a little too much) about what we have to offer and share the general musings of our team and management. Whether it’s a local travel tip, information about a nearby event or an update on the facilities we have to offer… we want to paint a picture of everyday life at the hotel and why we think we can offer the very best four-star holiday in the Algarve.

Ancão beach is located just a few minutes away and offers the opportunity to try a variety of water sports... while being situated next door to the beautiful Ria Formosa Nature Reserve certainly has its advantages too! At over 45,000 acres in size, it can provide an ideal day out for nature-lovers, and we aim to uncover its key attractions and most scenic routes. Bird-watching is very popular here, and its most exciting inhabitants include the Greater Flamingo!
However, one of the many reasons our loyal guests continue to return to Formosa is exclusive access to our two renowned golf courses – and we’ll be offering further insight into their many challenges, idyllic views and facilities. Our internationally-admired 18-hole San Lorenzo course has won many awards and titles, including being named within the top 30 courses worldwide by Golf World Magazine. Meanwhile, Pinheiros Altos Golf Club offers three unique sets of nine holes; olives, corks and pines… choose your favourite or perhaps you’re up to the challenge of all three?
